About the PTA
The Parent Teacher Association (PTA) is a registered charity run by volunteer parents and teachers. The PTA is an active and integral part of Bovey Tracey Primary School whose aim is to support and contribute to the life of the school and the school's educational processes for all those who learn there. We do this through providing fund-raising, social and community events.
It is a reality that school budgets are continuously under pressure and never more so than at the present time. The PTA's fundraising goes to enabling the school to provide new and improved resources and facilities for its pupils, which would not usually be provided for, or covered, by the Local Authority. These have undoubtedly had a positive beneficial impact on all of our childrens' educational experiences.
We are endlessly seeking out new and innovative ways of raising money or fundraising initiatives and if you have creative ideas for fundraising then let us know or see our Get Involved page to join in with your PTA.
Some events over the past few years have been hugely successful and due to their popularity have become annual fixtures, such as:-
- Pumpkin Party
- Christmas Party & Disco
- Year 6 Leavers Party
If you would like any other information regarding the PTA, would like to become a member, or have any suggestions or ideas about fund-raising (or where the money might be spent) please do not hesitate to contact any of the PTA committee, see our Contact Us page.
We hope you enjoy browsing the pages of our site to see all the ways you can help and support us, aswell as finding out what we have achieved together.
